PROF. GEORGE OBIOZOR EMERGES NEW PRESIDENT OF OHANEZE NDIGBO

Professor George Obiozor was today in Owerri, Imo State elected the new President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo, the apex Igbo socio-cultural group in Nigeria.

Professor Obiozor got a total of 304 votes to defeat his main rival, Chief Valentine Oparaocha, who got 15 votes.

Delta State Delegates Voted in Favour of Professor George Obiozor: 17 Votes. His Opponent Chief Valentine Oparaocha, Got 1 Vote. Ebonyi State Delegates Voted in Favour of Professor George Obiozor: 53 Votes. His Opponent: Chief Valentine Oparaocha, Got No Vote. Enugu State Delegates Voted in Favour of Professor George Obiozor: 40 Votes. His Opponent: Chief Valentine Oparaocha, Got 1 Vote. With this victory, Professor Obiozor takes over the mantle of leadership of Ohaneze Ndigbo from the immediate past President, Chief Nnia Nwodo.
