We know them!

Yahoo boys, we know them.
Kidnappers, we know them.
Ritual killers, we know them.
Bandits, we know them.
Terrorists, we know them.

They are our sons.
They built houses for us.
They bought cars for us.
They placed us on huge monthly salaries.
But we have not even asked them what they do for a living.

They are our boyfriends.
They paid our house rents.
They took us to clubs and shopping.
They flew us to Dubai for vacation.
They lodged us in 5 star hotels.
But we have not even asked them what they do for a living.

They are our Church members.
They just made huge donations to our Churches.
They just paid their tithes to us.
We even prayed for them and gave them holy awards.
But we have not even asked them what they do for a living.

They are our kinsmen.
They donated transformers to us.
They donated boreholes to us.
They ‘killed’ cows for us at Christmas.
We just made them chiefs and high chiefs.
But we have not even asked them what they do for a living.

They are our leaders and future leaders.
Soon, they will give us rice and 3k.
They will empower us with guns and cutlasses.
We shall then carry ballot boxes for them.
But we have not even asked them what they do for a living.

Keep enjoying dirty money.
Keep enjoying blood money.
Don’t forget the butterfly effect.
