Rotimi Ogunyemi Esq. was falsely accused to distract members from calling for investigation into allegations of conflict of interest & cyber-attacks against NBA President’s nephew

By Pere Nduku Esq.

The scripted drama of shame that played out before NEC Members was all in deception to distract members from the realities of the cyber-attacks on the NBA Domain and BPF Portal on the 31st of March 2023 and subsequent attacks on Webitscure infrastructures, available in hard documented facts that technology experts and right thinking individuals have from the facts seen Mr. Solomon Magaji’s culpability in the cyber-attacks, done to undermine the company at the detriment of members of the Association, after which he has now been shamelessly awarded the contract by his uncle Mr. Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau SAN.

The digital NBA of Mr. Olumide Akpata-led administration was one of the best initiatives of the NBA and the NBA APP launch at the 2022 AGC was done in phases and not as insinuated by the poorly scripted drama by Mr. Y.C Maikyau SAN which at best is a frantic and desperate move to distract NEC members and lawyers, in a bid to manipulate and paper over very serious breaches under his watch and to drag the much celebrated immediate past administration into his sinking ship.

As regards the NBA App launch, it is on record that a service provider was engaged after a public bidding and vetting process to deliver the project, they were given a timeline and the required standard.

Mr. Adams Mshelia-Makarios of Webitscure was part of that review.

The service provider was able to launch the Digital Identity which is one phase of the project at the 2022 AGC which was recorded and this same statement made in public

Recall that the Past Administration led the NBA to partner with the National Identity Management Commission, after which required a review of the Scope of Work of the service provider.

The Webitscure contract attached to this piece shows clearly among its deliverables in the 10th clause as Digital NBA Identity Review.

It stated clearly a requirement for a review of the SOW of this service provider engaged in line with the monies it has received.

Due to Mr. Solomon Magaji’s meddlesomeness which has constituted a clog, this like many other services is been given a false narrative to members to cover for its leadership lapses.

The said email that was read by the NBA President written to Paystack is an issue blown out of proportion to cause a stir and make a scapegoat of Mr. Adams Mshelia-Makarios and the members of the Digital NBA Committee to give a dog a bad name in order to hang it.

I make bold to say that the content read was to deceive NEC members and did not emanate directly from Mr. Rotimi Ogunyemi Esq. as presented, the email trail clearly showed it as he was only supervising the project and authorized a request made by the then NBA App Project Manager.

What was read to deceive honorable NEC members was the content of the email of the NBA App Project manager, Paystack can confirm same and Mr. President knew it, he has access to the email trail, but like many other lies this is another big fat lie.

Mr. Rotimi Ogunyemi Esq. only authorized the request because the NBA was using Flutterwave to process payments at that time, Mr. Rotimi Ogunyemi did not send the email that was read before NEC.

The NBA IT staff Mr. Wole raised this issue and it was sufficiently addressed. There are email exchanges proving the same.
We have previously called for an open live audit to properly situate where fraud is being perpetrated.
We look forward to the NBA President Mr. Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau SAN, taking up the challenge for an open live audit for all members to vet his integrity.

A copy of the email trail seen by our editors also confirm the same.

Dear ****, I trust you are well. I’d like you to expect a reply email from the NBA today.

I received the email (screenshot below) from Usman in your support team. If your support team needs to handle our request, please assist us with a warm handover, not a cold one, with all of us in copy.

Please recall in my earlier message request that I mentioned, “the current Admin is unavailable indefinitely, and the delay means the app can not accept payment, and AP can not publish.” Consequently, we cannot access the dashboard to provide a “business ID” for ****.

We look forward to hearing from you, and thanks in advance for your assistance.

Sincerely,
