The heart and root of true service

“… Jesus asked Simon Peter, … do you love me more than the other disciples do?” Peter answered him, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” Jesus told him, “Feed my lambs.”(John 15:21, GWT)

One SIGN and EVIDENCE of genuine conversion and redemption is a desire and longing to serve The Lord. Never mind that many seek to do so, not as His servants but as His special Advisers.

Serving the Lord, however demands the right HEART and ATTITUDE. And this must be deeply rooted in, and flow out of, our Love for God.

The people we serve or minister to in God’s Name* must only be mere beneficiaries of our Love for God, and never the motivation for our service.

We serve MEN because we love GOD.
