Giving to get or getting to give?

Giving is a key teaching and discipline of life, especially the Christian life. Yet without understanding and love, our giving can be a mere drag, duty or show.

The Biblical examples of Abel, David, the widow, the woman with the alabaster box, and even Christ Himself, teaches us that our giving should be:
¶ Selfless and Sacrificial,

¶ Sincere and Sponteneous,

¶ Obedience and Stewardship.

True giving should be a measure of our gratitude and grace, not our grudge and greed. We don’t give to get, we give because we received. Giving to get makes us ingrates and vulnerable to spiritual ponzhi schemes.
