Face it, the man looted; and must pay the price

IBy David Ikechukwu

I think the news media is sending a very wrong signal regarding what’s happening in Imo State. A former chief executive allegedly looted the state funds for personal use, acquired state land illegally and built a private university with state funds.

Now, I am not a fan of Hope Uzodinma, but he has a responsibility to recover state property and funds. All these comments around party bigwigs fighting each other is just wild conjecture and bull…, honestly it’s unfortunate. Please let’s get the right message out there, this’s so that the people can be properly informed, thank you.

The state government can’t just go and seal off another man’s property for no just cause, there should be proper investigation as to how the funds for the estate and the university were acquired.

Politicians should stop taking the people for granted. He was finding it difficult to pay salaries and pension, but he allegedly diverted funds to build estates and a university. The law of Karma will catch up with him soonest.

They even have the impetus to show up at the estates sealed by the state government to make trouble, what impunity!

Have you seen the list put up by an official called Opurozor and circulating in the media about forceful take-overs and assets? If you have not seen them, here they are:
