The Lion and the Jewel

She is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA); International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) Rivers State Branch (and once the Assistant Financial Secretary); National and International Associations of Women Judges (NAWJ and IAWJ); also an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC). An Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (ACIArb),  she was a member of the Magistrates’ Association of Nigeria (MAN) Rivers State Branch and the Association’s Public Relations Officer at some point.

Her Lordship has attended conferences, workshops and leadership programmes organised by the National Judicial Institute (NJI) and the Lagos Business School (LBS) among others.  She was an observer of Judicial Proceedings at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) in Amsterdam during an excursion by LL.M students of the University of Sussex, U.K. in 2006.  Her Lordship, the First Lady of Rivers State enjoys travelling, cooking, reading, listening to classical and contemporary music and keeps fit through swimming and playing lawn tennis.
