Onoja, SAN set to commission Bar and Bench International Institute for Arbitration

Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Chief Ogwu James Onoja, PhD., has announced plans to commission the state-of-the-art Bar and Bench International Institute for Arbitration (BBIIA) LTD/GTE in Abuja.

Onoja who spoke with Law & Society Magazine on Wednesday in Abuja disclosed that having received the certificate of incorporation from the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) everything is now set for the Centre to launch.

Although the certificate of incorporation sighted by Law & Society was dated 1st of February 2023, Onoja who disclosed that the Centre boasts of top-notch arbitrators further revealed that though it took nearly a year for the registration to pull through, the wait was worth it, as the interval afforded him and his team time to equip the Centre adequately.

In April 2022 Chief Onoja unveiled the multi-million naira university printing press at Nasarawa State University, Keffi. Having sunk over N450,000,000 (Four Hundred and fifty million naira) into the purchase of machines and construction of the building housing the printing press, the Senior Advocate said it was part of his contribution to boosting the university community’s fortunes.

Onoja is an author of many law books including the recently published —Fundamental Rights (Enforcement Procedure) Rules, 2009: Practice, Forms And Precedents Vol. 1 And 2.
