The hypocrisy of the Nigerian state actors, this time the he Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has again been brought to light by the Kaduna-based social activist and whistleblower, Malam Mahdi Shehu.
In a tweet on his X handle, the activist posted a video of Mohammed Umar Bago, Governor of Niger State throwing money to citizens from a moving vehicle.

The Governor of Niger State is seen in the video below, throwing money while in a moving vehicle in a town called Kagara. This is the height of immaturity and abuse of human dignity. In decent societies, the governor would have resigned immediately for this Sallah celebration recklessness and ignorance. There are more dignified ways of celebrating Sallah and showing gratitude to God. Throwing money to poor people is not one of them. Efcc will simply look away because the governor is said to enjoy …..to enjoy an ill conceived immunity.
