Juliet Isi Ikhayere and her zest to walk the talk in Kubwa

Ahead of the February February 12, 2022 area council election, a young legal practitioner, Juliet Isi Ikhayere has declared her intention to run for the office of Councillor in Kubwa Ward, Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Born in Kubwa 27 years ago, Barrister Juliet who is passionate about the progress of the people and land of her birth Juliet held a campaign rally titled Walk & Gather on 15 January 2022. The well-attended rally reached out to the entire Kubwa community and encouraged them to vote their daughter in as the next Councillor.

The multitalented legal practitioner who said she greatly admires Hon. Tynar Miracle Onem — the councillor from Otuokpoti Community, in Bayelsa State who invested her car allowance in the construction of a bridge that is helping people in her community have easy access to a health centre and police station across a creek assures that when voted in she will impact the social-economic situation of Kubwa community.   

 A consummate farmer, Juliet attended Grace of God Nursery and Primary School, Ideal Nursery and Primary School, all in Kubwa, and later Federal Government Girls College (FGGC) Bwari. She obtained a B.A in Linguistics from the University of Benin, an LL.B  from Enugu State University, and a B.L from the Nigerian Law School, Bwari campus.

“I’m passionate about the socio-economic development of my people and my place of birth”, she said.  “I want to partner with the government and corporate organizations to bring succor to my people and my place of birth. I’m particularly interested in supporting our women, the youth, and the less privileged in my first home”.

“We can attract government attention and support of NGO’s to the plight of the people of the most densely populated area of the Federal Capital Territory”. 

Part of her campaign slogan reads:

“A vote for Barr Juliet is a vote to improve on our back-to-school agenda.”

“A vote for Barr Juliet is a vote to improve our markets.”

“A vote for Barr Juliet is a vote to improve the social-economic situation of KUBWA.”
