The executive committee members of FIDA Nigeria recently paid a courtesy call to the Chairperson of the Competition and Consumer Protection Tribunal (CCPT) in Abuja.
The team was Abuja led by FIDa Abuja Chairperson, Ms Chibuzo M. Nwosu.
the visit was in furtherance of the branch and its leadership’s desire to maintain collaborations with institutions relevant to the objectives of FIDA Nigeria.
Ms. Nwosu in her speech, congratulated their hostess., Hajia Saratu Shafii, who is a member of the FIDA Abuja Branch, for the great work she has been doing since the establishment of the Tribunal.
The CCPT, a court of record with coordinate jurisdiction with the High Court, is empowered to take complaints coordinate jurisdiction with the High Court and is empowered to take complaints from all sector regulators on matters relating to competition and Consumer protection, particularly, the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC).
