In Nigeria, an applicant for driver’s licence must undergo the following medical fitness examination:
- Vision acuity;
- Blood pressure assessment for hypertension;
- Blood sugar for diabetes;
- Visual acuity and colour blindness;
- Chronic arthritis examination;
- E.E.G screening for epilepsy; 7. Ear defect.
The medical examination shall be carried out in any government hospital.
