Who is Sai’da Saad Bugaje and why does the Governor of Kano State want her arrested? … By Bayo Akinlade Esq
So I am looking through my phone and see a message from a classmate about a lawyer/activist in Kaduna State who is being hounded by the Governor of Kano State.
I was however not convinced that a whole Governor of a State will waste State resources and use the police to hound anyone especially a lawyer who resides and works in another state.
So I do some digging and came across this article:

Now I get worried about this issue especially because this involves a Governor, (by extension the Attorney General of the State), a Lawyer and the Police.
Should we be using the Nigeria Police this way and then turn around to say they are compromised? If the Governor feels offended by statements made by an individual does he forget that he is a public servant and subject to criticism? Did he not run for office? Was he not insulted and abused while running for office? Is he not supposed to be above all these?
We say many things about our leaders, insults and accusations comes with political elective positions especially from the opposition party and their supporters. Do we now start arresting everyone that says something negative about political office holders?
We have already heard many discouraging things about the Governor but can we just try to be accommodating? Can we show the rest of the world that our democracy is true?
I urge the Attorney General to step in and do the right thing in this case.
I also call on the NBA Leadership, especially the offices of the Vice Presidents of the NBA to step in and protect our colleague.
