All Notaries Public need to upgrade details for electronic notaries’ register

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that the www.notary.gov.ng website is now live and fully operational. The registration link remains unchanged from the previous Public Notice but now directs you to a functional registration form.

All Notaries Public are encouraged to register for vetting and inclusion in the Electronic Register for Notaries.

Before beginning your registration process, please ensure you have the following documents and information ready:

  1. Passport Photo: Prepare a passport-sized photo (jpg, jpeg, or png) saved on your device.
  2. Supreme Court Number & Swear-in Date: Have your Supreme Court Number and the date of your swearing-in (as indicated on your Oath document) ready.
  3. File Number (Optional): If you have a file number from the Supreme Court, use the year and 6-digit number from your latest letter.
  4. Legal Email & Contact Info: Submit your official email address and phone number for communication purposes.
  5. Accurate Data: Ensure all information provided is accurate. Incorrect or duplicate entries may result in submission issues.

For Clarity, Please Note the Following Key Points from the Previous notice:

1. File Number
2. SCN Number
3. First Name
4. Middle Name
5. Surname
6. State of Practice or Current State
7. Office Address
8. Date Sworn in
9. Phone Number
10. Legal mail

Upon submission, a confirmation email will be sent to you.
